IRUS-US - Standards-based Statistics for Institutional Repositories
This session will be an overview of IRUS, the Institutional Repository Usage Statistics software developed by Jisc, a research and service provider to higher education and further education in the UK. IRUS is a service which consolidates COUNTER-conformant statistics providing opportunities to demonstrate the value and impact of institutional repositories, both internally and in comparison with other institutions. LYRASIS has partnered with Jisc to form and administer IRUS-US, the U.S. based community of IRUS users. During this session, participants will learn about the benefits and features of the service, discuss users and use cases, learn how the software functions, and see a demonstration of the software in action. There will also be information about the IRUS-US community and how it will operate.
